Event Footage: Ransom and Statik Selektah perform at Hot 97?s “Who’s Next”

Last month, Hip Hop Vibe was backstage at Hot 97′s “Who’s Next” showcase at S.O.B.’s in Brooklyn. The whole Hot 97 family was there and they were showing love to the crew, as the artists took the stage. One of the biggest street artists in the Tri State is the homie, Ransom. Over the past ten, plus, years, Ransom has delivered solid mixtapes and street albums. This has built him an undying and loyal fan base that has lasted him through his ups and downs. At the “Who’s Next” showcase, there were no lows, but plenty of high points for the New Jersey legend. Ransom did his set with Statik Selektah, with whom he did his album, The Proposal, with last fall. He performed some tracks off of this project, along with some other big records during his set.
